The following facilities will be available when the centre fully reopens in spring 2026, following the major redevelopment. More information will be published soon.

We want everyone to feel welcome, comfortable and confident at Willoughby Leisure Centre. Built to universal design standards, the Centre includes a range of accessible features to help people of all ages and abilities enjoy our facilities.

Key accessibility features include:

  • Changing Place facility with an adult-sized shower bed, ceiling hoist and accessible toilet
  • Accessible toilets and change rooms
  • Accessible parking located close to the main entrance
  • Step-free, wheelchair-accessible pathways
  • Hydraulic lift between the entry level and pool hall level
  • Chair lift access to spa and learn to swim pool
  • Tactile ground surface indicators and enhanced wayfinding
  • Wheelchair-accessible spectator space
  • Ramp entry to 25m lap pool, program pool and Children's Splash Zone
  • Aquatic wheelchairs available for ramp access into pools

The Centre can at times be loud, bright and busy. If you or your family experience sensory overload, you are welcome to familiarise yourself with the environment beforehand, bring supports such as noise-cancelling headphones or comfort items or let us know in advance if you'd like additional assistance.

Our team is here to help. If you or your child feels overwhelmed, please speak to a staff member. Where possible, we'll offer a quiet space until you're ready to continue your visit.
