As part of the Centre's redevelopment, Willoughby Leisure Centre will feature AI-enabled camera technology that provides an additional layer of support for lifeguards in the aquatic areas.

The intelligent system continuously monitors activity in the pools and is designed to detect signs of swimmer distress. If a potential incident is identified, the system immediately alerts lifeguards, allowing them to respond more quickly.

Members will be able to use touchless wristbands to access the Centre quickly and conveniently, making entry simple and secure without the need to present a membership card.
