Gentle Exercise Classes

The Willoughby Leisure Centre offers a range of gentle exercise classes ideal for people recovering from an injury or those looking for exercises that are gentle on the joints.

Aqua classes use the resistance of the water to give you a total body workout. The buoyancy of the water also means there is no impact or jarring on the joints. Aqua classes are great for recovery and re-introduction to exercise and ideal for all ages and fitness levels.

Basic Low is a strength and flexibility class designed specifically for the over 50s and is suitable for all levels of fitness. The class involves simple movements, low impact aerobics and light hand weights.

A Gentle Exercise Class is also held at the centre and at the Joe Ciantar Studio. The class involves gentle movements and increases flexibility, fitness, strength and range of movement through a variety of simple exercises.
